Puerto Rico matches up well with Hong Kong for a number of reasons: 

First, both are primarily island territories.

Second, both are special regions within their respective nations.

Third, Puerto Rico and Hong Kong both (roughly) translate to mean the same thing: Rich Port! The only difference is that the «rich» used in Hong Kong is most often translated as «fragrant». However, as any Latino knows, «rico» is also often used to describe delicious food and flavors, not just wealth.

With over 7 million people in just 400+ sq. mi. of territory, Hong Kong is the fourth most densely populated region in the world. It is officially a «Special Administrative Region» (SAR) of China
