With the ultimate goal of pairing up every US county with a unique Chinese county for prayer, a few states have to be «subdivided» so that the county numbers match. In this case, Lower Michigan is matched up with China’s Hebei Province, along with all of Wisconsin, while the UP of Michigan is matched up (along with all of Minnesota) with China’s northernmost province, Heilongjiang (on the border with Siberia, Russia). The precise division of counties will come later, when we have some help from folks in Michigan to work out the details!
