With the ultimate goal of pairing up every US county with a unique Chinese county for prayer, a few states have to be "subdivided" so that the county numbers match. In the case of Texas, there are three divisions:
1) The vast majority of central Texas (183 counties) are matched up with China's massive south-central province, Sichuan, home of the Giant Panda and lots of spicy food.
2) 38 counties in far east Texas (including the greater Houston metro) are matched up with the humid and forested province of Chongqing in south-central China.
3) 32 counties in far west Texas are joined up with New Mexico and southern Colorado to pray for mountainous Qinghai Province
